The Gait Harness System by Second Step, Inc., (aka Second Step) is used in a broad spectrum of physical therapy applications and provides a means of therapeutic intervention with gait and balance training. The Complete Gait Harness System®  includes with all the features found in the Adult Gait Harness System® and the Pediatric Gait Harness System® . This combination  system has conversion tops and  harness sets which are mutually appropriate for the pediatric and adult populations. The Complete Gait Harness System® is a functional training system which allows individuals to perform standing or walking activities in a safe and effective environment.  The Complete Gait Harness System® not only allows for ambulation in the frontal plane but for therapists and caregivers to assist over 85% of their patients in balance and other functional activities. Therapists can perform therapeutic interventions hands-free. They are therefore able to work on functional postures and other deficits rather than worrying about loss of balance and falls which could ultimately lead to injury of themselves and/or their patients.
