 The
Total Transfer Gait Harness System® is a functional training system which allows
individuals to perform standing or walking activities in a safe and effective
environment. The Total Transfer Gait Harness System® combines the Original
Gait Harness System® and the Totalift II Transfer Chair.
The
Total Transfer Gait Harness System® introduces
an entirely new way for patients to sit, stand, and walk without complex
transfer setups. This is the only hands-free transfer and therapy System of its
kind. The Total Transfer Gait Harness System removes bending, lifting, and
brings a patient from bed into a supported standing position. The System
facilitates the patient’s comfort and safety throughout the entire transfer and
therapy process. Now sitting, standing, and walking may all be accomplished
while preventing back injury to the caregiver and risk of falls to the patient.
The System effectively addresses patient needs, ranging from acute to chronic
settings. Like the other
Gait Harness Systems®, the Total Transfer Gait
Harness System® not only allows for ambulation in the frontal plane but for
therapists and caregivers to assist their lower level patients in balance and
other functional activities. Therapists can perform therapeutic interventions
hands-free. They are therefore able to work on functional postures and other
deficits rather than worrying about loss of balance and falls which could
ultimately lead to injury of themselves and/or their patients.
