Do 100% of all standing and walking problems get solved with the GHS?

Gait Harness System product acquisition is an investment in the client’s recovery process. GHS products and accessories are therapy tools, useful for clients learning to stand and walk again, working through a broad range of ambulation challenges. Results vary and are not guaranteed. GHS products are not designed to treat or cure any issue, condition or disease. Consult with the treating doctor or health care provider regarding health-related questions, assessments, and recommendations, including addressing the client’s specific medical issues, limitations, or needs.

Will the GHS work in my home, and can I move it in my vehicle?

The System is wide enough internally to accommodate standard wheelchair, chair, and scooter transfers, and will work in many homes which have been made wheelchair accessible. The GHS separates into two components for portability in a station wagon, SUV, van, or a pickup truck. The GHS is lightweight, and easy to maneuver from location to location. Do you have a local dealer for the GHS?

No. Second Step is the sole authorized manufacturer of the GHS, and sells the GHS direct to practitioners and consumers. We ship to clients nationally and internationally.

Do you offer a lease or layaway program for the GHS?

We have a 6 month minimum lease/lease-to-own program, and a consumer layaway program. Please contact us for information on terms.

Do you sell used or refurbished GHS models?

No, Second Step sells only factory new, fully warrantied models of the GHS.

Can I have a trial of the GHS before I buy?

No, we do not have a trial program for GHS. Second Step manufactures custom merchandise. No refunds will be given on any order. All sales, leases, lease-to-owns and layaways are final.

I am in the spend down process for Medicaid qualification. How can I acquire the GHS?

The GHS is considered an exempt (non-countable) asset for Medicaid financial qualification purposes. You may use spend down funds to purchase the GHS.

How will I be trained to use the GHS?

Learning to use the GHS is a very simple process which takes only minutes to learn. At the time you place your GHS order, you will be emailed an online GHS Training video and a GHS Owner Training Manual. You will also be mailed a GHS Training DVD. All training materials outline transfer techniques and appropriate use of the GHS. Training materials shall be reviewed in advance of product use. You may contact technical support at any time with questions regarding proper use of the GHS. We will make every attempt to respond to your inquiry within 24 hours or on the next business day.

What kind of warranty does the GHS have?

The GHS is backed by a comprehensive warranty against defective parts and workmanship, which flows to the original purchasing party, only. Know your rights by reviewing Warranty Terms.

How long will it take for my GHS to ship to me?

Orders begin processing immediately post purchase. Order fulfillment may take 2-3 weeks. You will be sent an order confirmation email providing your anticipated ship date. You will be sent a shipping confirmation email, with tracking number, when your GHS order ships, confirming expected delivery date. We will also track your order on our end, to ensure it reaches you efficiently and safely. For order questions, please contact our order fulfillment department.

Will I need to assemble the GHS when it arrives?

No, the GHS comes fully assembled and ready for immediate use.
