Hand Hold Set Accessories can boost a client’s sense of stability and confidence while standing or moving.

Hand Hold Sets are a new, sold separately accessory for the GHS. They attach, simply, anywhere along the inside or outside length of either Gait Harness System forearm support top frame, adjustably fitting each client’s unique needs and comfort. Hand Hold Set Accessories can boost a client’s sense of stability and confidence while standing or moving.

Hand Holds come in two size options: one for the standard forearm support frame, and one for the double wide forearm support frame. The Hand Holds can be easily set for the client who wants to face into the closed side of the U-shaped forearm support frame, and for the client who faces the open, posterior side.

We use our Second Step Gait Harness System on a daily basis with our spinal cord, stroke, TBI and other neurological patients. The handles have been great and have added a component that has been very helpful as far as increasing patients’ ability to maintain stability in the system. If the patient has lacking grip strength or if they are flaccid in one or both of their upper extremities we have also combined the use of grasping cuffs with the handles to help maintain patients’ alignment in the device.
